Private Label Rights as a Shortcut For Creating Your Own Products

Do you remember the days when you could knock up an e-book on just about anything you liked and actually sell it online? Well, thankfully, those days are gone because, let’s face it, many of the early e-books were quite dreadful indeed and not worth having in the first place.

Nowadays whether you are selling, or even giving away, e-books online you have to ensure that they are high quality, contain useful content and provide real value.

So while selling e-books is still a good online business, the process of creating e-books means you will have to put in a lot of hard work and effort to produce something people will want to buy. The work involved can be quite extensive, perhaps running into several months to combine research, writing, editing and then honing the finished product.

The good news is that, while you can if you want to, there is no need to do all this hard work yourself as you can simply purchase the Private Label Rights to sell e-books which someone else has already created.

Depending on the type of licence which comes with the PLR product you may be able to change the title, alter the content, create new cover graphics and claim authorship of the book as your own. But, before handing any money over, don’t forget to check what the licence terms allow you to do or what restrictions they impose upon you. For example the licence may state that you cannot change the title, content, or credit yourself as the author so be very sure about exactly what you are buying.

The cost of the PLR package will also vary from product to product and, in many cases, will reflect the amount of work which has gone into creating the product in the first place.

In many cases the decision as to whether to purchase a PLR e-book as opposed to creating your own product from scratch will involve whether you have the skills, time and resources to do it yourself or whether you are happy to pay for someone else to do all the hard work in product creation.

It certainly may make good commercial sense to pay more for a PLR product than one you could produce yourself for less if the finished product is of higher quality and therefore easier to market and sell for a profit.

PLR e-books can be a great way to break into internet marketing and the fact that you don’t have to write them yourself from scratch is a huge advantage to many. You pay for an expert in writing produce a high quality product and you get to concentrate all your efforts on marketing it for the best possible returns.

Obviously there is nothing to stop you buying PLR e-books and producing your own if you want to and if you are the expert in a particular niche you may be the best person to produce an e-book on your own area of expertise.
