How do you get a cygnett dock for ipod nano to work via usb?

Ive bought a cygnett docking cradle for my ipod nano, but i cannot get it to work with usb. The manual says to disable a USB host controller, but this still does not work, it only makes all my USB peripherals siese to function. Any ideas would be great!
